Cheap Wedding Maui

Cheap Maui Weddings??
I really don't like the idea of using the term "cheap" when I describe what we do with our Maui weddings. We perform "inexpensive" Maui weddings. The name of our website is "Affordable Maui weddings." The word cheap tends to be seen as something that is inexpensive but also of lesser value.

The weddings we provide are very affordable, and are certainly not cheap. But, alas, I know that many couples -- when searching for affordable weddings on Maui -- will often use the term cheap in their searches Online. So it made sense for me to do a post using that term in the title. So if you want to see some cheap Maui weddings, (meaning you pay very little for a quality wedding in Hawaii) then look no further. You can see just how inexpensive they are on our cheap maui wedding packages page.

Our Own Maui Wedding

Rev. John & Nikki Souter
I've been performing Affordable Maui Weddings for over 14 years now and I can tell you they are a great experience. I've including this photograph of my bride Nikki and myself to show you that we experience our on Maui wedding back in 2010!

You can't go wrong if you choose to have a romantic, intimate Maui wedding for yourself. We sure enjoyed our wedding here in paradise. We had flowers, a musician, photography, a cake, a videographer and more.

Of course, I saved some money because I'm in this business, but I also knew which professionals would do the best job for our own wedding. It was fun to be on the other side of the camera for a change.

I've spent so much time providing weddings for my couples that sometimes you can forget how much fun it was at your own wedding. Nikki now works with me at all of my weddings doing coordinating and assisting me with photography and she gets so excited for the couples as they tie the knot on the beach.

In 2012 we performed 144 Maui weddings. It really is a joy to be able to perform all of these ceremonies for all of our fun couples. I hope you'll be one of them in 2013!

A Christian Maui Wedding Ceremony

I offer a Christian Maui Wedding Ceremony is for couples who want a contemporary, but also a truly Christian wedding this might be right for you. This ceremony includes a reading 1 Corinthians 13 (the famous love chapter) from the contemporary Living Bible.

The ceremony also includes reading a number of biblical passages about marriage and it ends with a prayer at the end of the ceremony.

If you are interested in learning more about this ceremony, I would encourage you to follow the like above to the Christian wedding ceremony. If you want to see the other two ceremonies that I offer, you can also go to my Maui Wedding Ceremonies page by clicking on this link.

The Spiritual Maui Wedding Ceremony

There are ministers who have only one ceremony. I believe that it is important for couples to have  wedding vows that fit where they are coming from, so I have three wedding ceremonies to choose from.

My Maui Spiritual Wedding Ceremony is for those couples who want a religious or spiritual touch to their weddings to satisfy one or both members of the couple. It includes a reading of 1 Corinthians 13 (the famous love chapter) from the contemporary Living Bible. There is also a prayer at the end of the ceremony.

If you want to see the entire ceremony you can find it at the link above. If you want to see the other two ceremonies that I offer, please go to Maui Wedding Ceremonies.

Your Hawaii Wedding License

I just talked to a bride who didn't know that you needed to get the license before the ceremony, and so her marriage with another minister wasn't valid because she didn't have the proper paperwork. You don't want to make that mistake. Of course, you want to make certain that you get your appointment set up with a wedding license agent before you arrive on Maui. Our Maui Wedding License page is located Here.

On this webpage I will give you a lot of information about the legalities of getting married in Hawaii. The page includes basic questions like "How old must I be?" And, "What if I've been divorced?" It's important that you know the answers to any pertinent questions for your situation.

A Contemporary Maui Wedding Ceremony

If you are thinking of getting married on the beach in Maui, Hawaii, you will inevitably want to think about your wedding ceremony at some point.

I have three different Maui wedding ceremonies that I perform for my couples. If you go to the page that I have linked to above you can see links to all three of those ceremonies (as well as links to my vow renewal ceremonies).

One of my most popular wedding ceremonies is what I call the Contemporary Maui Wedding Ceremony. This is a ceremony for couples who want a romantic, non traditional ceremony that is not religious in any way. Take a look at it. You'll see that it has a lei exchange, a couple of poems and some other nice touches.

On the Maui Wedding Ceremonies page on our website you can find the links to each of them. You want to choose the ceremony that is right for you.

The three ceremonies are the Contemporary Ceremony, the Spiritual Wedding and the Christian Ceremony. On that same page you'll also find out more information about how to get your wedding license.

Maui Beach Weddings in Paradise

If you are thinking about having a beautiful and romantic wedding in some exotic locale, you should seriously consider a Maui beach wedding in Hawaii. I've been to many far off locations and I can tell you there aren't too many beach locations that can top Maui, Hawaii.

If you've ever been to the Florida Keys you know that the islands there are pretty flat. There just isn't a whole lot of personality to them. The same can be said for many of the beaches on the Florida coast. I've been to Cabo, and although the beach was nice, I found myself immediately wondering where the palm trees were. I can't imagine getting married in Mexico (especially with all of the violence they've had in the last few years).

In 2009 I spent some time in the Philippines, and although they had a few nice beaches, nothing even remotely compared to what you find in Hawaii. I've also traveled to five of the Hawaiian islands and I can tell you that Maui is by far the best when it comes to having a beach wedding.

Maui is less crowded than Oahu (where Honolulu is located). The beaches are just better. The big island of Hawaii has far less beaches to choose from and you may have to deal with bigger distances and bad air (from the volcano). Kauai is nice, but most of the best beaches don't face into the west, so its harder to do a sunset wedding there.

Take a look at some of our beach wedding photographs and I'm sure you'll agree. Look at this beach. Maui is simply the best. That's why locals have called it Maui no ka oi, which means "Maui is the best."
